My name is Emmalyne Godfrey.  I am seventeen years old and attend North Hall High School.   I have lived in Gainesville Georgia for my entire life with my mom, dad, and younger brother.  When I was about four years old, I started ballet, and pursued that for twelve years. I love to sing and have done Allstate Chorus, Honors Chorus, and am a member of North Hall High School's advanced chorus class, Cantique.  I chose to do the Honors Mentorship Program because I beleive that it gives me the opportunity to find something that I love to do and to study it.  I chose to study the feilds of Optometry and Ophthalmology becuase my dad owns a business that works with those doctors.  I've been around it a lot, seen the surgeries, talked with the doctors.  I knew that I already enjoyed watching and observing but I wanted to get a little deeper, and this program has helped me accomplish that. I chose to do research on diabetic retinopathy so all of the information on my website is about diabetic retinopathy!
